Summer Pony CampOwn a Pony for a Day during the School Holidays!

Your child can live their dream for a day or more at the Slieve Aughty Centre pony camp! Available Monday to Friday July  3rd to 7th, 2023.

Designed for beginners to learn the basics of riding and horse care.

A day of pony camp may include:

• Safety around horses
• Arena riding lessons
• Horse trekking
• Pony Games
• Vaulting
• Natural Horsemanship
• Visit to the Enchanted Forest

Details

Pony camp must be booked in advance.   Advanced payment required to secure your place. Camp is from 10 am to 2 pm.  Bookings can be made for a single day or multiple days. Camp is suitable for  5 – 14-year old beginners.

What to bring

We recommend children bring a change of clothes, snacks, and drinks (no single use plastics please). Water bottles can be refilled at the centre. Rain coat and boots are essential!  Bring suncream for sunny days

What to wear

Children should wear boots with small heels and long flexible and comfortable trousers. We recommend layering clothing and bring a rain jacket every day. We provide approved riding helmets.  We strongly recommend that children wear a properly fitted body protector when riding.

€50 per child per day.
